(frank)ing ridiculous
This league is a joke
They just pass it off as hard nose Boston hockey, while the Sabres are gutted by the media
(frank) off NHL and Boston |

The media is doing the Sabres a favor by gutting them. I hope it continues. |

Have to agree with you Garth. Should be a 3-5 game suspension based on whether he has history |

Just.....
WOW!
I'd love to see what Milbury has to say about the Chara hit. Would he condemn Chara like he did Scott? Would he say the Boston coach needs to be fired right away and Chara should not be in the NHL?
I doubt it. I love how one of hockeys biggest goons in h is day has the gall to call out people like he has recently. He must have early alzheimers to forget what he did as a layer and coach. |

Because he's a Bruin. Because he's one of the best defenders in the league. |

People are missing the point of what Milbury was saying. When Zdeno Chara is out there, he does many things. He helps his team win with talent, physicality and leadership. The whole point about the John Scott incident is that nothing good was going to come out of him being on the ice in that situation in the first place. It was terrible coaching. They were down 2 goals in the 3rd. He can't skate. He can't pass. He can't score. He accomplishes nothing. It didn't take an IQ above 35 to see that the best case scenario something neutral was going to happen, and the worst case was something stupid was going to happen, which it did. |

So climbing into the stands and beating a guy with his own shoe? Thats allowable cause it was the '70's?
How about the Samuelsson incident? He was a coach then. Put out a line of goons. But now he is against that?
He should not have a job as a commentator if he CAN NOT be unbiased. |

just the game as a whole is different with more focus on player safety etc. look up any highlights from that era and its the wild west, completely different tone and mindset |

While this is absolutely true, Milbury is a joke and holds very little credibility to begin with. And Chara not being suspended is disgusting. He continually gets awy with crap because he's big and has no history, which is BS if he was suspended every time he should, he'd have a rather important history to consider... |

I can see what your saying garth, but you lost all credibility when you said this was a combo of kaleta and scotts hit.....wow. Kaleta and scotts hits both made you rewind to look at it again, chara's hit I didn't even think twice about it until someone on twitter was saying that the san jose analysts were calling for a suspension.
The reason buffalo brought in ott and scott was because they were trying to be the bruins and they are failing miserably. Bruins have guys who can fight and win games. |

There's no doubt about it: Milbury is an assclown. However, he's correct here. It's probably the first time in about 10 years this has happened, and it will probably be the last time in the next 10 years it will happen. However, a correct statement is a correct statement. |

The words 'Garth' and 'Credibility' have no business being in the same sentence together. |

Chara's hit deserves a suspension. The fact he is a star in a large market is the only reason it's not looked at. And this from a Blues fan, who aren't rivals with Boston. |

here is the real reason Chara won't be suspended, cause his Shanahan's boss's son plays for the Bruins, Greg Campbell, case closed |

I just watched the tape . Chara raised his forearms and targeted Wingels head . Nothing will come of this . But the intent was obvious |
